EBBB Team - How to utilize Team App - Overview & User Tips
Primary use is Practice and Race communication organized by “Access Groups”.
Access Groups: Athletes = MS, HS, Performance. Coaches = MS, HS, Performance, Alumni.
Parents = MS, HS, Performance. Adults (Coaches / Parents) can be in multiple groups.
Contact Information: Please include email and cell phone number. Please opt to “Show Contact Details” so this information is available in case of emergency at practice or event
Suggestion: Include athlete graduation year (ex. ’29) after last name. Consider including a photo.
Guardian / Child Alignment: It is beneficial to establish the Parent (Guardian) / Child alignment, especially in cases with middle schoolers that don’t have or manage their own email. Team admin will link athlete and parent accounts so you can RSVP to practice on their behalf if athletes are not managing their own Team app profile.
Notification Settings (prior to opening a specific team in the App): Settings -> Notifications. If “push notifications” are turned off, all notifications will come via email. Pros & Cons. Fewer notification alerts, but may miss timely notifications.
Did I miss a Notification?? The “bell” in the upper right corner will include a number on it if there have been notifications sent that you have not opened. Click on the bell to see what notifications have come through.
Events: Practices, Races, Social
Following are ways communication may happen via Team App.
“Events”: Scheduled Practices and Races. Where, When, Details. “Yes or No” Planned attendance (important for planning).
“News”: Communicate important / more detailed information. Paper Clip icon alerts you to attached pdf, photo or videos . Allows comments.
“Chat”: Basically, a text to a specific person or group.
Please contact admin at edinacyclingteam@gmail.com or bbbcyclingteam@gmail.com if you would like to set up an event or send out “news” as you must have admin access to do this.
